Rockefeller University
The Niarchos Foundation-Rockefeller River Campus was a massive undertaking, with AEF Sales providing the heat tracing for the sprinkler lines, mechanical, and plumbing using ETI controls. The addition provided the campus with a much needed two acres dedicated to research labs by building a three story structure over the FDR. The video highlighting the 19 nights of work over one of New York's busiest roadways is almost as captivating as the building itself.
Trinity Church
The church, which dates back to 1846, underwent a major restoration project in the 1990's. They needed to prevent ice and snow from building up on the roof and in the gutters in order to protect the refurbished interiors. The unique architecture of the building made it a difficult job to design, but separating each side of the building into its own system with ice sensors and snow switches from ETI (not to mention almost a mile of Nelson snow melting cable) allowed for the building to efficiently prevent buildups and damage in the winter.
