World Trade Center PATH StationWhen New York City started to recover in the days after 9/11, AEF Sales went to work. Within days of the attack, team members were in lower Manhattan, working to restore heat tracing on fire safety lines at the World Financial Center and cooling tower lines atop the nearby Verizon building, vital to the restoration of communications. With lower Manhattan essentially sealed off, material had to be delivered on foot. At that time, the debris field from the Twin Towers completely covered West Street, and the din of cleanup work periodically came to silent halt when recovery workers solemnly brought the remains of victims up the ramp from the site.
